Sizing & Fit Policy
Every press-on nail set from The Lilith Nails is handmade to the size, shape, and measurements selected or provided with your order. Accurate sizing information is therefore an important part of creating the best possible fit.
This policy explains how standard sizing, custom sizing, custom shapes, measurement responsibility, fit expectations, and sizing-related replacements are handled.
Check each nail carefully before placing your order, especially if you are between standard sizes or plan to choose a Custom Size.
Why Accurate Sizing Matters
Press-on nails fit best when each nail matches the width and natural shape of your own nail plate as closely as possible.
A nail that is too small may feel tight, leave part of the natural nail exposed, or create unnecessary pressure. A nail that is too large may overlap the sidewalls and may require additional adjustment.
Because our sets are handmade to order, we strongly recommend checking your sizing information carefully before completing your purchase.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for reviewing and submitting the correct size, shape, and custom measurements for their order.
Before checkout, please make sure that the information selected or entered on the product page reflects what you want us to make.
If measurements or custom details are submitted incorrectly, we will make the product based on the information received with the order.
Standard Size Selection
Where standard size options are available, please select the size that most closely matches your measurements.
Standard sizing is intended to make ordering easier, but natural nails can vary from person to person and may also differ between the left and right hand.
Custom Size
If you select Custom for Size, you must provide the requested measurements or sizing details in the corresponding custom field before the product can be added to your cart.
Please enter your measurements clearly and in the requested format. Custom sizing will be made according to the information submitted with your order.
We recommend measuring both hands rather than assuming that the same finger on each hand has exactly the same width.
Custom Shape
If you select Custom for Shape, you must complete the corresponding custom shape or detail field before the product can be added to your cart.
Please describe the requested shape or relevant details as clearly as possible. If a request requires clarification before production, we may need additional information before the order can be completed.
Handmade custom work may involve small visual variations because each set is shaped and finished by hand.
Required Information Before Add to Cart
If you choose a Custom option, the corresponding custom measurement or custom detail field must also be completed.
- Size must be selected.
- Shape must be selected.
- If Size = Custom, custom measurements must be provided.
- If Shape = Custom, the requested custom shape/details must be provided.
This helps reduce incomplete orders and ensures we receive the information needed before production begins.
How to Measure
Measurements should be taken across the widest part of the natural nail, from sidewall to sidewall.
Measure each nail carefully and record the measurements for both hands. Double-checking your measurements before ordering can help prevent sizing problems.
Measurement Accuracy
Small measurement differences can affect the final fit, so please take your time when measuring.
For the most reliable result:
- Measure the widest point of each nail.
- Keep the measuring reference flat across the nail.
- Record each finger separately.
- Measure both hands.
- Check your measurements at least twice before submitting them.

Fit Expectations
Press-on nails are designed to fit closely over the natural nail, but every person's nail beds, curvature, sidewalls, and finger proportions are different.
Even with accurate measurements, a small amount of adjustment may sometimes help achieve a more comfortable or natural-looking fit.
Minor Fit Adjustments
If the nails are already a close fit and you are only slightly dissatisfied with the fit, you may gently refine the edges or sidewalls using a nail file or another suitable nail tool, provided you are comfortable keeping and using the set.
Please do not wear the nails, apply nail glue, apply adhesive tabs, file, reshape, trim, or otherwise modify them before contacting us.
Once a nail has been worn, glued, filed, reshaped, trimmed, or otherwise altered, it may be difficult to verify the original fit and condition of the product.
Small handmade variations in shape, curvature, finish, or placement do not automatically mean that a product is defective.
However, if the finished product does not reasonably match the size, shape, or measurements correctly submitted with your order, please refer to the section below regarding errors on our side.
Customer Sizing Mistakes
If the wrong size, shape, or measurements were selected or provided by the customer, this is generally not considered a product defect.
Because the set was handmade based on the information submitted with the order, free replacement may not be available.
Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to offer individual replacement nails, a replacement set at a special price, or sizing guidance for a future order.
Errors on Our Side
If The Lilith Nails makes the product in a size or shape that does not match the information correctly submitted with your order, we will review the issue and work with you to correct it at no additional cost where appropriate.
We may ask for your order number, photos of the nails received, and the original measurements or custom information submitted with the order so that we can verify the difference.
Replacement Options for Sizing Problems
The solution to a sizing problem depends on the cause of the issue and whether the original order information was correct.
Possible solutions may include:
- Replacement of one or more individual nails
- A corrected replacement set
- A replacement set at a discounted or special price
- Guidance on measuring or selecting a better size for a future order
Where the issue was caused by an error on our side, the appropriate correction will be handled at no additional cost to the customer.
Where the issue resulted from customer-provided sizing, shape, or measurement information, any replacement option may involve additional product and/or shipping costs.
